I cannot get VA columns to bake their extended lengths. The grasshopper definition seems to draw them but the baking process doesn’t recognise the new length. I tried collecting them into a container but that didn’t work either.
Hi @steve14 I guess the problem is that when you bake the columns, (and only the columns), they don’t find any object in Rhino where they should be extended to. If you bake at the same time the columns and the roof (where the columns are extended), the columns should be baked extended properly.
Hi Francesc. I tried your suggestion but it’s still not working through grasshopper. It will work only if I do it manually in Rhino 8 once the columns and roof are baked in.
Ah, it works! I’d baked the roof first and then the columns hence the problem. When I choose both the roof and the columns then press bake together then the columns extend fine to the roof. As you said “at the same time”.
