Previous version:

Enjoy!

@enric
The beam object’s end cuts “Slope” and “Rotation” are currently not exposed to the API.
Nor can I set or adjust then in Gh.
Am I correct here that manual after-the-fact update is the only option?

Hello,

with this RC version every time i create a new level, Rhino and VA hard crash to desktop…

Reverted back to version 3.11 everything seems to be working.

edit* its not, crashed to desktop with 3.11 too.

Hi @ng5_Alex do you have a 3dm file to test this crash you are experiencing?

Hello @fsalla ,

i just start a new file and when i select new level the crash happens. There was also the latest rhino update installed a few days earlier.

See video. This time it did not crash immediately, it made a level with a very weird name, and then crashed in second level creation.

Usually it crashes right after pushing the button to create a level.

I see… but I can’t reproduce it. Can you specify the exact Rhino and VisualARQ versions you are using?

Do you get a .dmp file in your deskop after Rhno crashes?

Does this happen with the last 3.12 RC update?

No dmp file was created.

I noticed the issue with VisualARQ 3.12 RC2 and Rhino SR35.

I now realized that every time i install an RC version i cannot install an SR version over it, still in control panel both versions appear installed.Only if i manually uninstall the RC version can a previous version truly be working in rhino.

So in my previous post even if i thought i was having the issue with 3.11 too, according to VisualARQ/AboutVisualARQ popup i was still with RC 3.12 installed.

For this discussion after manually uninstalling RC3.12, i installed VA 3.11 the issue does not happen any more.

Hi @ng5_Alex Looking closer at your video, I can see some weird names appear in the Level Manager when creating new levels.

If you need to install a previous version of VisualARQ (go from the 3.12 to the 3.11), you need to uninstall the VisualARQ 3.12 first. If you have Lands Design installed, you need to uninstall it too, since both programs use the “Tibidabo” plug-in, and the new version of it may remain in your machine if you don’t uninstall both programs.

Try this and let me know if the crash persists after reinstalling the 3.11.

In any case, whenever you need to install a newer version of VisualARQ, you don’t need to uninstall the previous version of it.

Yes, and if the crash did not happen after pressing once “create new level”, these weird level names became longer for and in every new level i created until eventually crashing.

Manually uninstalled RC 3.12, installed 3.11 so far no issues.
