Grinding through the Villa Sovoye lesson 2.4, auxiliary lines are constructed using the Right view. The narrator’s lines all come out on the same plane, but mine are totally random which the perspective view reveals. How the devil is he doing that?
Probably has Project checked in the object snap panel…

Thanks Helvetosaur. That was indeed the problem. I had fiddled with that button before but I didn’t know it was the key to it.
