View rotation question

How can I rotate the Perspective view just in the plane of the camera?

I find myself struggling with mouse rotation after spending a few days using a space mouse.

None of these seems to do it properly when you try to rotate the view it always gets a bit of a tilt.

I wish there was a way (without a 3d mouse) to automatically adjust the center of rotation to the object that is currently placed in the center of the view.
Rotate relative to view picks some point in space for some inexplicable reason.

And be able to rotate about each axis with some keyboard+mouse shortcuts.

not to view center, but you can rotate around cursor with Ctrl+Shift+RBM-drag

And be able to rotate about each axis with some keyboard+mouse shortcuts.

Once you start RMB rotation, pressing Shift locks to the dominant rotation axis
