The display mode options allow you to use punctuation characters when naming custom display modes, but display modes with punctuation marks are not selectable/usable. I had to come up with a more creative name than “Ryan’s Custom Mode”. 
You would think that if they are allowed in the name that the name should be selectable. Sounds like a bug to me. @pascal
