When Plan view Auto Update is off, the plan should NOT update when moving it, or when updating the Style.
If I have multiple Plan views on file (2+) and decide to update the style (or move the views), this causes the instant and simultaneous update of all Plan views. This update results in the crash of Rhino. It does not help, if the Plan view objects are hidden.
Plan views do not respect Levels. ((My original plan was to produce 2D-drawings per floor, and project to XY-plane upon DWG-export. Hence each DWG-plan would be on correct location. PDF-printouts using Layouts, and isolating Level per drawing))
When placed on top of each other, the higher (+Z) Plan view results are projected onto the lower Plan view results.
The video shows a simple case of stacked Plan levels, and a repeateable crash when updating multiple at once.
Since version 3.7.1, VisualARQ doesnât show plan views in other plan views (which generated a loop that led to crashes sometimes)
I agree. This change is already in our list of pending issues.
if you edit a plan view style, all plan views will update to the style changes, and will also update the geometry displayed in them. This is an expected behavior. But the crash should not happen. We fixed a related issue recently in the 3.7.1. Please try it with the last public update (Update - VisualARQ) or with the 3.8 RC3: VisualARQ 3 - Version 3.8 RC3 released
I think this has been fixed in VisualARQ 3.8 because I canât reproduce it. This is what I get when I update the plan views of your file: (all plan views have the View depth set to âunlimitedâ)
