VA section view - section style

Hi,

In most projects, when applying for building permission, you need to show the previous landscape relative to the new landscape in elevation and section views. In the country that i work in, Sweden, the communes want to see the old landscape as stippled and the new landscape as continuous lines. I’m not able to produce this drawing using _VaSection ( or rhino sideview for that matter):

It looks correct in this perspective view (except the line thickness for the stippled line that i also cant control) where ive used a clippingsection from rhino in the same location as the _vaSection. The VaSectionView is placed in front of the geometry for demonstration. Heres how it looks on a layout:

Is there any way to get that old landscape stippled?
Another thing to mention here is that having 0 depth for the VaSection also doesnt work - would be nice to have when taking sections.

Hi @Jens_Jacob_Melhus_J1,
Since that surface (old landscape) is taking the linetype by layer, if you change it in the Layer manager, the 2D section view will show that surface section contour in that linetype:

However, I can see that in real-time section views (using VisualARQ Sections), the linetype is not preserved to the 3D surface. Neither it is if you assign a custom linetype to the surface as a section style attribute.
We will revise this.

In the 2D section view, you can uncheck the “Show Projection” option, so you don’t need to modify the section depth:
