VA Plan Styles not matching viewport

Hello, apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, however I tried to search and couldn’t find a relevant topic.

I am new to VA and while I am getting used to it I am trying to set up wall styles which match our existing drawing style within the practice.

For example: External walls have heavier line weights, hatches are grey and thinner line weights, insulation has a fill colour (I realise I can’t get the hatch to follow a wall line at present due to limitations).

I can get the walls to display as I want them within the model, however after creating a plan view all this information is not carried through. There are no overrides within the style and I have tried playing with the settings but I can’t seem to get them to match. The same happens with the sections. I was hoping to use the plan view, where I could then add my insulation hatches over the top, rather than having floating in the actual model.

Thanks in advance for anyhelp!

Hello William,

which version are you using?

I was having a similar issue with vaPlanView where colored hatches etc were displayed black, but version 3.7 RC2 seems be working as expected.

best,

alexandros

Thanks Alex,

I was running 3.6 - updating to 3.7 RC3 has fixed it all the colours so working as expected now. I managed to fix the line weights too - I was treating it as I would the old linework. With the hatches being their own line weight separate to the object. Whereas with the vaPlanView hatch line weight is determined by the base layer and you can edit the cut and projection linework within the parameters (so the opposite way to how I would normally work).

Thank you for your help!
