V8 ShowZBuffer bricked?

not that i would use that very often, but it appears the command no longer yields anything thrilling

Thanks.

I just stumbled into this problem myself. Glad someone already posted this.

Using Rhino’s renderer to save the depth map could be a work around, although its less convenient.

Thanks for the tip @cdordoni. I’m not getting anywhere as nice as a result using Cycles. Is this the right function to get the Depthmap?

Yeah, that’s odd I think, here’s a sphere on my Windows system Rhino 8 SR9

Here’s the panel in Rhino 7 SR 37

Looks like we have another ZBuffer mystery for you @wim. Show Distance Channel creates a noisy depthmap image in Rhino 8 for Mac.

@wim

Should we create a new thread for the Show Distance Channel issue in Rhino 8 (Mac and Windows)?

Hi Wim,

@wim

Following up on this from a few days ago … Is it OK to have the windows and mac issue with Show Distance Channel included with the Show Z Buffer issue, or should a new thread be started?
