V8 Printing regressions etc

1] The default printer settings are imperial, regardless of the fact my files are always metric - surely the software can automatically adjust accordingly?

2] The printing dialog retains changes to the settings within a working session, but does not save these changes to the printer preferences with the file - V7 does.

3] Some printers are not being written to correctly. For example ‘Microsoft Print to PDF’ , set to A3, scale 1:1 shows the preview correctly, but prints as though on letter sized paper (ie its truncated, not reduced in size). My old version 4 of ‘PDF Factory’ shows a similar problem - V7 prints the exact same file correctly to these printers.

I don’t think there should be any connection between drawing units and printing settings. Plenty of us work on metric projects printed on 8.5x11.

Opening up someone else’s model in whatever units doesn’t have anything to do with what’s in my printer tray or what nominal size PDF I need to deliver in.

The print dialog went through a rewrite. We’re working on the saving of settings for the print dialog are being worked on right now.
