@rajaa , I just wanted to report a behaviour of “New Detail On” in Layer.
What I find could be more intuitive.
When I copy a detail or duplicate a layout and a layer is “off” for a new detail - of course these layers are not shown in the copy.
I think it would be nicer if a Copy is a Copy and thus appearing like the “Original”!
I was struggling a lot with this Behavior. Because I often use Details / Layouts as an referens for a new one. So I have to change my layer settings every time I just want to make a copy, which I don’t want to do because for a new detail the “new detail on” settings should stay and is 
I think it is reasonable to assume that while it is expected to hide the layer when create a new detail within one layout, it should generate an identical copy when create a new layout. Reported here…

RH-83701 is fixed in Rhino 8 Service Release 12
