V8: Directional light point disappear when zooming in on target

In V8 if I select a directional light (the controlpoints tun on) and I zoom in on the target then the target and the line from the source disappear.

If I turn ON the controlpoints this happens too, but if I select the target then I can still move it with the gumball as that is visible.

Probably because OpenGL is smart and don’t draw objects that are out of the camera view. I tested this theory by making a block with a insertpoint away from the geometry, turned on controlpoints for the block and zoomed in on the insert point, and it too disappeared when the geometry left the camera view of the viewport.

If there are more objects in the scene, expanding the bounding box and the view clipping enough, then this does not happen.
