V8 crashing - PC Laptop

Hi there, I’m getting regular (sometimes multiple per day) crashes of Rhino.
When I get the “what were you doing when this happened” question, the answer is generally the same.
Nothing - Rhino was just left in the background. Most often it may be after my laptop went to sleep, if left overnight, etc. It rarely crashes when in use, but when I’m working on something else.

If you unplug the DisplayLink, do the crashes still occur?

I’ll give that a trial, I have that set up at one office location only so I’ll try to see if the crashing is only at that location also. Could be something in that!

Thanks again @Helvetosaur , have definitely had a lot less crashes since trialling that, so I’m not looking at alternative approaches to my second monitor.

Multiple monitors need to be directly connected, they can’t go through some sort of external USB device, they are effectively their own–incredibly crappy–video cards. The ability to daisy-chain DisplayPort monitors probably works, if you’re one of the 5 people with a monitor that supports that.
