Mine is different…7.0.18107.05125
But I had to download a fresh one as it seems the uninstall took everything out. So this is a fresh download from the McNeel site.
It did exactly the same thing as before…My V6 short-cut loads the WIP.
I’m afraid this will have to wait until the product manager gets back from his travels.
I’m completely baffled.
I think with the file names and descriptions in this message thread, we have the details preserved.
I think you need to do a new install, not a repair. You probably had a WIP from the v6 times installed, which was in the location C:\Program Files\Rhino WIP
- this location is now used by the new v7 WIP.
You need to do an actual install - make sure you click the gear to change/ensure the install location is C:\Program Files\Rhino 6
for your v6 install. I think I have seen locally sometimes happen that the location is prefilled with the Rhino WIP
part for a Rhino 6
install, so better to make sure.
The WIP takes over the folder where my Rhino 6 existed and renames everything to WIP. I will uninstall everything and re-install once again.
OK, that seemed to be the ticket. It worked fine and created a separate WIP folder instead of over-writing the V6 folder with WIP.
Hopefully you have many happy moments with both Rhinos.
Thanks! Is there a list of commands for the sub-D tools?
I think this is the best resource is the status document linked here Rhino SubD - new fixes and features in 9 Sep 2017 WIP

So by “mesher” do you mean “QuadMesh” or “Mesh2” ?

QuadMesh
@PaulS: Here’s what I recommend:
- Uninstall Rhino WIP from your computer
- Uninstall Rhino 6 from your computer
(If you have Rhino 5, you should be able to leave it) - Download Rhino 6 from https://www.rhino3d.com/download/rhino-for-windows/6/latest and install it
- Download Rhino WIP from https://www.rhino3d.com/download/rhino-for-windows/wip and install it
At this point, both Rhino 6 and Rhino WIP should work.
Yes, this is what I did and everything is running fine now.
