V7 SR23 crash on startup

Hi McNeel
Just a heads up on the fact that SR23 crashes my PC on startup - it starts in SafeMode. I’ll go through the plugins to see if I can spot the culprit. SysInfo below.

Hi Jakob -

That doesn’t look good.
Had a Windows update?

That is because safe mode.

Yes, correct.

Hi @wim
OK - I see that @nathanletwory beat me to it. It’s usually working fine  But updating the driver as we speak to see if that helps

Hi Jakob -
I take it that you let Rhino update automatically?
I’d look in

for the previous version that you were running and see if that now crashes as well.

Hi @wim
Can confirm that SR22 works as expected, so something in RC23 is making my machine choke. I see there’s an update for VisualARQ - will get that installed and try RC23 again.

Hi again, @wim
Sorry for the semi-false alarm - updating Nvidia driver and VARQ seems to have done the trick. I don’t know if you can tell from the crash reports, which was the offending party this time.
Thanks for reminder on the DownloadCache folder - I had quite forgotten that previous installers can be found there. It now has its own shortcut on my desktop
Edit So what I’ve got running now is 7.23.22255.7001, 2022-09-12.
