I have just upgraded to V7,
in my previous versions, I used ‘⌘H’ to hide a selected object. however in V7, even though I can set this as the keyboard shortcut, it just doesn’t seem to work, and makes a bleep sound every time I do the shortcut.
Answering my own question here,
it needs to be set within the system preferences of the OS…
