Since the above release or maybe before V4 files saved as v4 in v5 will not open in v5.

It does work here, are you running plugins or other specifics that might cause this?
Can you post such a file that does not open?

No, no plugins, I think it must be this drawing I am working on as older v4 drawings open OK. I have just had to change my motherboard which does seem to have caused a certain amount of mayhem !! Maybe I should reinstall.?

Problem sorted, it was the new motherboard, which I had only just installed. After some serious downloads from MS and then a cleanup with Ccleaner all works as it should. Thanks for your help
