what is v-ray next?

what is the difference between v-ray next and v-ray?
which renders faster?

do both have a version for rhino 7?

v-ray next is the previous v-ray, so that makes current v-ray the current and then next has yet to come.
I never understood that name anyway. You had 3.6, then came 4 (next), now 5

V-Ray Next is V-Ray 4. it is called “Next”, because calling it “4” would have had conflicts with integration names, e.g. “vray4rhino”, “vray4sketchup”, etc…
