UV, quad mesh Issue URGENT

Hi, for a work, they ask me to get a model with quadmesh, so i create mesh from my nurb object but it stay in triangular mesh

Second, i have to coordonate all UV of the object together but impossibleto understand how to do
anyone could help me please ??

Hi Emile,

I guess you are using Rhino’s _Mesh command. If so, you need to use _QuadRemesh instead. You will need to experiment with the detailed options to get the mesh size you need. Use the Preview option to see the effect of making changes and read the help first to understand what the options do.

I can get a mesh object by object, no the entire cabinet , how to coordinate all meshs between all objects directly ? currently i have different size of mesh

Hi Emile - what does ‘coordinate’ mean - all vertices line up? is this for FEA ?

Or is it consistent UV that is required for texturing/rendering?

It is asked me for a project. i have to modelize objects with quad mesh with a certain size because they apply a texture on the object (not me)
models have to be on 3DSmax but i dont know it very well, it is easyer on rhino for me. so i would like to do maximum on rhino, and export it in .3ds to re-export it with the basic grey shader of 3ds (that is they asked to me)
the project is to modeling a bank of object with all the same UV to apply any texture they want after

moreover, all object has to be under 1000 polygons
when i try to reduce only 3 meshs of my incomplete object look what i have

Hi Emile -
From your requirements, it sounds like you should model the objects with meshes - not converting a NURBS object into a mesh. You can use the NURBS object as a guide to snap to but you’d be using the 3DFace command with PolygonType set to Quad and Append to build the object.

Hey, i draw the model in subd using crease edge everywhere.
the reason why i use it is to can edit UV.
I have this :


1st plan : the model in subd, 2nd plan : the quad mesh model, which one i have to use ?

other question : how to get an unified mapping between all parts ? (Scale, direction, symetrie)
