Hello there,
We have a number of projects in Rhino 7 & 8, so need to jump seamlessly between them. I can’t seem to get a team member’s license to work for Rhino 7 (error: Rhino license not found), while logging in via Cloud Zoo works fine for Rhino 8. What are the steps that allow them to work with both programs on one system?
I have followed the steps outlined in this previous post, to no avail.
I assume you also have some Rhino 7 licenses in the cloud zoo? If the Rhino 8 licenses are upgrades over the Rhino 7 licenses, do you have the same number of both?
In this situation we have just one Rhino 8 license in the cloud.
I have seen that you can request Rhino 7 licenses (with a Rhino 8 license), but I assume that’s only helpful if you want to use just Rhino 7 on a workstation.
Any pointers?
You can’t run Rhino 7 with a Rhino 8 license. You will need to request the free V7 legacy license via the McNeel downloads page and install it in your cloud zoo.

Super, seems to be working - should of tried it first before posting.
Thanks for the speedy response.
OK, good - note however that adding the legacy V7 license does not actually give you two licenses, it simply becomes a single linked license that allows you to run V7 or V8 (or both together) by one user on one machine. You will not be able to run V7 on one machine and V8 simultaneously on another machine, for that you would need a second license.
Yes we were not expecting an extra R7 license for seperate use
Thanks again!
