Using Metal, hatches show through in all display modes

Topic says it, hatches are never occluded by other objects, not even in rendered or shaded mode etc.

Hi Mikko -

I’m not seeing that here.
Have you tried the ClearDrawOrder command?
If that doesn’t help, please provide a simple 3dm file and the outcome of the Rhino SystemInfo command.

Hi,

thanks for the swift reaction. I tried ClearDrawOrder on the blue hatch below. No effect.

The file is available at Dropbox - Töölönkatu 1 B 16 20230205 v8.3dm - Simplify your life

System info below.

Any hope of supporting higher resolution rendering using metal? The current one is nice and fast but very crude.

Best,

Mikko

Thanks, Mikko.
I’ve put this on the list as RH-72932 Display Metal: Hatch shows through objects

Could you explain what that means?
-wim

I’m assuming to the lower quality SSAO currently used in arctic and rendered mode. This is being worked on right now. We had the high quality output turned on for a few days and found some pretty nasty bugs that need to be fixed before turning it on by default.

Thanks for logging the bug. Good to hear about the rendering quality.
