Hi Forum, I brought a block instance in with " Insert". I like what’s been done with that. I did have a problem though. After placing the block instance where I wanted it , I split it . It made a copy of the block along with the split one.The split one is now on a different layer. The copied block is on the right layer and color. The split one is on the default layer.
Maybe someone can replicate this.
To put a picture of words with this , I brought in a piece of steel siding and split it with a door frame. thanks Mark

Go to edit in the drop down click layers, there you can change the layer to whichever you choose.
