Upgrading from Rhino 7 to 8 - Concerns of loosing settings and data

Hi everyone,

I am about to make an upgrade from Rhino 7 to Rhino 8. I already made a copy of all my Display Modes, backgrounds, textures, materials, environments and user interface, but I am concerned if I am going to lost my applied textures, materials, environments and etc from my Rhino working files.

Should I expect any problem with that? Should I do anything else to avoid loosing data? Will all my settings and material (and etc) be automatically transferred to Rhino 8?

I always use the definition to keep the material, textures, etc in the file.

Once I make the upgrade, my Rhino 7 will stop working and probably will be deleted from my PC.

Kind regards,

Paulo

Why? Rhino 7 will continue to work after the V8 install, there is no reason to delete it…

Assuming you are not using a plug-in in Rhino 7 that doesn’t work in Rhino 8, that should just work fine.
