Update of Rhino 6 has deleted program from my machine

Was asked on opening R6 today if I wanted to update, clicked yes and now rhino 6 folder is empty. Any recommendations to recover?

Sounds like the install process stopped somehow. Find the installer file in C:\ProgramData\McNeel\McNeelUpdate\DownloadCache and run it again.

Hi @kiteboardshaper,

Can you please send me a private message and attach all your Rhino install logs from your temp folder? Here’s how to do that:

  1. Open Computer (Windows Explorer)
  2. In the address bar, type %temp% and then press Enter
  3. Sort the files by name
  4. Zip and send all the files that start with “Rhino” and end with “.log”

My speculation is that something triggered a restart, but the installer failed to tell you that Windows needed to restart. If you restart your computer, my guess is that Rhino will try to complete the installation.
