Unifying UV's Difficulties

Good Day!"

I have trouble on unifying MY Uvs to equally divide my surface into quads. can someone help me? Thanks!

What is the end goal of the Quads? Roof tiles?

Yes Roof Tiles, For GFRC Panels. thanks!

“equally”?

This is a clueless adaptation of ShapeMap that I learned the other day. I don’t think it helps here.

You could project a grid onto the roof?

I think you should refine the boundaries of what is possible with GFRC to define what “equally” means in this context. Dimensions of stock material, max bend, cutting strategy for possible angle accuracy, attachment to the sleeper depth max/min. Then approach this from what is possible. This exercise will help to reduce construction waste and improve your “shingle?” detail.

Usually an “equal” approach to this kind of dynamic geometry reduces the quality of that uniqueness due to simplification of representation of the ideal design surface within construction constraints. In this case the ability of GFRC to conform to the ideal design surface.

See course below for an in depth look at modularization and rationalization.

Hello Brian!
I made a little component that aligns surfaces in a brep. I think that is what you are looking for.

Also i added subd packing component in the beginning of the script, maybe you will find it useful to solve your problem, if solution above does not help
