Unexpected poor display performance

In this quite big Rhino 8 model (over 11k Block Instances) I’m seeing unexpected viewport display performance. There are only Block Instances in the scene, and only their mesh parts are visible (other geometries are on different, turned off layers).

FPS numbers while using the Shaded mode are really counterintuitive:

  • Mesh wires ON: 17,58 FPS
  • Mesh wires OFF: 4,74 FPS
  • All layers hidden: 2,75 FPS

It would not write about that if it was just a poor performance, but hiding layers making things much worse is very odd.

That is odd, i’ll be digging into your other block post this morning and will create youtrack on this as one as well. I expect there are optimizations to be had, unfortunately UI/toolbar work has taken priority.

This didn’t solve the issue. Quite strange. If I will send any file to the tech support I will let you know.
