What is going on there?
Note that if I cut off the first or last segment of the curve, then Pipe works fine. Also, there are no closed curves.

Your curve has a short segment at the end that doubles back / overlaps.

Thank you so much, that was it!
My Grasshopper definition that created this curve was to blame.
