(undo) minimum number of executions problem

Does Rhino 7 have a fixed number of undos?
During the work (undo) did not go back to the beginning of the work, so all the data is corrupted.

Undo help

  • File operations or changes made to viewports or construction planes cannot be undone by the Undo command. Use the UndoView command to undo changes made to the view.
  • The number of commands you can undo depends on the memory size reserved for undo. Change the undo options in [General Options](https://docs.mcneel.com/rhino/7/help/en-us/options/general.htm).

To change the memory setting for Undo:
Options > Rhino Options > General > Undo

I set the memory value to 10Gb, but I asked because the data went away.

Hello - the number of undos depends on the geometry and operations - if you make one small change on a huge mesh, the entire mesh must go into the Undo - this can, potentially, fill up the available memory quickly. If you are making lines, the amount of memory used is small so more steps are possible.

It was 40 megabytes of data and I worked for 1 hour. I don’t understand.

Do you have Autosave enabled? If so an auto-saved version may be available in the designated file location for Autosave or in your Windows Recycle bin.

Hello - please run SystemInfo in Rhino and Copy/Paste the results.
