using Read from File command and got randomlly one of two tresults.
Any hint why is so, and how to avoid it will be very aprecited.

Is it possible that you started that command with one viewport active and then clicked in a different viewport while the geometry was being created?
I’d maximize a viewport before reading that file and then sit still…

No, but it seems to depend on how the perspective viewport is oriented.
Opening the file with different active viewports gives different orientation of model.
What is the “Read from File” command? Is it the same as the Import command?

Looks I’ve find way around. If top viewport is activ and maximized everything opens as expected. Thats enough for me now, but I still wonder what is causing such behaviour.

It’s because of “swish”. The extrusion will go in the direction where the mouse happens to be in a perspective viewport.
