Unable to to toggle different "Feature Types" from the dropdown menu. (Grasshopper)

Hello everyone,

I am trying to use ELK (2.2.2) add on for grasshopper.

Theres a special feature in this component where you need to right click the component and “Set feature type” as I am seeing in all the video guided tutorials.

On mac, I have succesfully downloaded the plugin but i cannot access all its features because of the “right click button not working”

is there any work around this issue?

# Downloading Spatial Data in Grasshopper using Elk

This tutorial uses Elk version 2.2.2 available via [Food4Rhino](http://www.food4rhino.com/project/elk?ufh)
You will also need [Grasshopper](http://www.grasshopper3d.com/) for Rhino 5.0

The advantage of using the Elk plug-in is the ability to convert OSM data in Grasshopper for display in Rhino, quickly selecting the feature types that are available including layers beyond roads and buildings. Since OSM data is open source data, the maps may have incompleteness in parts, but will suffice for most areas of interest.

## Loading OSM Data using Elk

*IMPORTANT: This tutorial requires an internet connection*

Install the Elk plug in by copying all appropriate files into the Grasshopper Components folder, accessed in Grasshopper under `File` > `Special Folders` > `Component Folder`. You will have to unblock all `.dll` files and `.gha` files by right clicking on the file > `Properties` > `Unblock` at the bottom of the `General` tab. Now restart Grasshopper and a new tab for Elk will appear.

From the `Elk2` menu in the `Extra` tab in Grasshopper, load the `Location` component. The Location component is primarily for preprocessing all of the node or point data from the OSM export. It wants a file path to an OSM file as the input and will output OSMPoints, a Point3d with an OSM defined ID, the text string of the full XML file, and the latitude and longitude domains. We will need to download a OSM file.

Hey guys,

A right click in MacOS can usually be done via Ctrl+Click, or you can enable it on a trackpad checking System Preferences > Trackpad > Point & Click > Secondary Click, and using two fingers to tap.

Perhaps one of these mechanisms would work?

Sorry, my bad. I just tested this out and I didn’t realize “right click not working” means that the menu isn’t showing. Let me dig a bit, there may be something we can do to fix this on our end.

Yup, looks like we can get that one fixed up. The ELK plugin uses a specific way to populate a ComboBox that wasn’t implemented yet. I’ve created RH-59538 to track that issue.

Thanks for fixing the issue!
There is another problem when using the OSM component with Mac. If you right click on the OSM and then left click on ‘Select feature sub-types’ a menu should open to select sub-categories. Unfortunately the menu window does not open. Is there a way to solve this problem as well?

I have the same issue with Elk2 and Rhino7 on macOS. “select sub featureypes” when right clicked doesn’t open anything.
