Hi, I was setting up a custom HDRI maps for environment in one of my models and suddenly experienced a freeze and since then I am unable to edit anymore even a publick models.
Unfortunately this is a real problem and a huge problem for my client. I still can’t make any edits. I tried uploading a new model but nothing changed.
Can you let me know how you referenced your environment in the settings? You should use a URL pointing to a folder that contains a single .HDR file, as explained here: Environment settings
That being said, the viewer should not freeze, and we will have a look at the issue. But until you solve the environment on your side, uploading a new model should work. Please try again and empty your browser cache after the upload. I just tried re-uploading your model and it worked on my side.
I tried to give a direct link to our repository. (full link in our private messages)
The problem is that since I made the change, I can’t edit any of the Shapdiver models, not even the public ones. I’ve also tried with the new “anonymous tab” in the browser.
You cannot edit any ShapeDiver model.
Please try to empty your browser cache. I tried to edit all links you posted above and it works without issues on my side, so it has to be an issue in your browser.
Can you show what the browser console shows when you try to edit one of your models?
Environment map
The file you are referencing should have the .hdr extension. Additionally, when you reference it in the viewer settings, don’t include the name of the file in the URL, you should just point to the folder containing it (e.g www.example.com/env/ and not www.example.com/env/myenv.hdr)
OK, I got it that the link need to lead to folder. Unfortunately I am still facing the issue that I can not make any edits any more, even after clearing cache. I tried it in Anonym window which suppose to be empty. Also tried another browser.
I shared the screenshot with error in to your DMs. Not sure if it contains something private. I am Confirming that ambient links are red in console as your screenshot.
To help me understand: what happens if you upload any Grasshopper definition to your account currently (say, just one slider and a sphere)? Does it work to edit and save the model, or do you have the same problem in this case?
Your main model is stuck because it still references the wrong environment map. This issue is on our side, the viewer should handle this error properly without crashing.
However, in the meantime, you can upload this file again to your account (and, if it is stuck, also reload the page). It should work after that, according to my tests.
Got it. Any change to make it work without reuploading? It need to involve other sides to reimplement the key and setup the model and build up a cash to be quick.
