Unable to click on some curves

I’m having problems directly clicking to select a curve, I can only do so by clicking and holding to create a selection box and it will select the curve. None of my layers are locked and I have even checked to directly type in “unlock”.

Upload a .3dm file with an example of a curve you cannot select. Click on the vertical arrow icon above where you type a post to upload the file, or drag it to where you type.

Exactly what are you doing when you cannot select a curve? Are you executing a command? If so what command?

I can’t seem to unload the file because it is too large. Im not using any command, i am just trying to select the curve by clicking on it but i cannot.

Hello- in the viewport you are selecting in, what does Properties show about the camera and target locations?

Hm - thanks, nothing outrageous there; please run SystemInfo in Rhino and copy/paste the results here. Also, please export one or more of the misbehaving curves to a new file, and post that, or send the whole thing to us via Rhino - Upload to Support to my attention and please include a link back to this topic.

If i do copy and paste it into a new file, it works fine. I can just move everything to a new file if anything but I would like to know why this is happen

I’m going to guess that there is a lot of stuff behind the camera, possibly? If so, if you hide all that, does it change anything? Do some curves select normally?

-Pascal

Yes that worked! Thank you

Hi Leslee - you might try updating the gpu driver

Primary display and OpenGL: Intel(R) Iris(R) Plus Graphics 645 (Intel) Memory: 1GB, Driver date: 7-19-2022 (M-D-Y). OpenGL Ver: 4.6.0 - Build 31.0.101.211

not sure it will help - that gpu is a little flimsy for wortking in Rhino. My partly-informed guess as to what is going on is that the number of objects spread over a large depth (architectural model, mybe?) in the camera direction is making the depth sorting of objects too coarse. If you Zoom Extents, with all of those objects showing, does the camera location start to show very large numbers?

-Pascal

If I zoom extends they numbers on the camera barely change. Going to try to update my gpu driver to see if that fixes it
