Unable to cap polysurface

Hello,

I’m having trouble closing off this shape as a polysurface. I drew the curve first and then extruded the curve, but it won’t close itself up for some reason… I have always extruded curve and used the “cap planar holes” command for this, but it just shows the error message saying “Unable to cap 30 objects.”

It would be great to get some help on this… Appreciate it.

Your surfaces aren’t joined? Join them then run the cap command:

Select the surfaces and join them, then run the cap command. Or if you want to type them into the command line:

SelSrf
SelPolysrf
Join
Cap

Thank you for your help. I assumed grouping them just joined them somehow… Now I know they are two different things
