UI: option for wider layer display

Hello,

When working with files with a lot of sub and even sub/sub layers, I am completely unable to see their hierarchical position because the display for the current active layer is sooo narrow.
Would it be possible to make this customizable by the user?

Hi Andy - you can set this in the V8/WIP via Options > Advanced >
