I have several rmtl files that I reuse. I tried to update them in an model that was created using different materials and they aren’t working correctly. If I create a new surface with the same material it works fine but the older surface is very large. I’m not sure if it’s my fault or not, Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Hi Chad -if you dig down deep enough to the subtextures, some are using mapping channel 1.

I dug into the materials but I don’t see the where mapping channel 1 is being used. Did I miss something?
I don’t see the screen you are referencing. As the screen shots I attached about show, I have the WCS + Box Style Checked on Noise 2.

Hi Chad - if you edit Roadway+Noise material > Asphalt+ Noise texture > Noise 2 texture which is in the ‘Color 2’ slot of the Asphalt + Noise texture, you’ll see that one is mapped to channel 1.
However… changing that does not make the two surfaces look the same in the rendered vp… a full render seems to get it right even in your original, in V6, V7 gets it wrong…
Still poking… there is a bitmap missing but I would not expect that to affect this.
