TypeLoadException

Hi everyone,

I’m encountering a TypeLoadException error every time I launch Grasshopper. This started happening after I recently uninstalled several plugins and removed some User Objects.

The Error Message:

Priority: Loader Could not load type ‘System.Runtime.CompilerServices.NullableContextAttribute’ from assembly ‘System.Runtime, Version=7.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a’. {TypeLoadException}

What I’ve tried so far:

  • GrasshopperLoadOneByOne: I ran this command and stepped through every plugin. Interestingly, I was able to pass through all of them without the error appearing during the “one-by-one” process, yet the message still pops up during a standard load.

  • Context: The splash screen often stops or shows the error around the time it hits WeightsToMeshColor (Ka2). However, once Grasshopper actually opens, that component seems to function correctly.

It feels like a .NET version mismatch or a residual file from a deleted plugin is still being called. Has anyone seen this specific NullableContextAttribute error before, or have advice on how to track down which specific assembly is requesting System.Runtime v7.0.0.0?
