I’m struggeling creating a slide which is based on a helix, twisted inwards.
Starting (1) from an ellypse, transforming to a banana-shape (2) and ending in something similar.
I creating a loft out of the different shapes, but somehow it doesn’t end up the way i want.
The goal is to have a “slide” which is always facing upwards, going from outside to the inside.
Does someone have a solution for my beginners-problem? Thank you so much
Rather than try and loft the slide in place, create a curve representing its trajectory (a half-turn helix say). Create a straight horizontal line the same length as the helix. Lay out your slide ellipse and bananas along the straight line and loft them to create a surface. Then use flow along curve to transform the straight slide into a helical one. In flow along curve you select the straight slide as the object to flow, the straight line as the baseline and the curved line as the target. Select the Road-like option to ensure your slide profiles stay level.
