Whilst getting mouse button trigger happy trying to restore a sequence of Name Positions hurriedly so that I can check for collisions and range-of-movement in a mechanism I’m working on, it occurred to me that a mild tweak to the Named Positions panel would make for quite a nice poor-man’s interactive animator for this type of thing. Namely:
Scrolling through the named views with the mouse wheel restores the views in sequence. Up and down arrow buttons to rearrange the sequence of the positions when required would give you some means of editing and inserting positions.
Hi Matt- I don’t know how feasible it is, but I will add it to the heap. My guess is that if it is not pretty straightforward to do something like this, the answer will be spelled ‘Bongo’…
macros, hotkeys, and programmable keyboard. If you use these checking views often, its worth the few hours to develop a convenient hotkey that you can bump with the end of pencil.
Does Bongo facilitate a back-and-forth scrolling through frames with the mouse wheel? I’m not bothered about creating animations as such, just being able to closely analyse movements of mechanisms.
