So far it (fillet) always worked for me - until this time. Might it be due the surface (one of them) is combined of pieces? Tried to join them, but it selects all the ring… And explode is not helping.
Any help will be appreciated! Thanks a lot!
There are a few issues here that make your fillet not work. If I cut ring in half from 0. along Y-axis. you do not get a sharp point at “wishbone”. It is also not plane from finger hole to outside of shank, see right view.
The other issue is the curves used to make Wishbone. Top view shown below.
Sigh… Will try to figure out what I’ve done wrong.
I built this wishbone as in tutorial (see my last comment here:)
Or this way is not good to make fillet afterwards?
The question is how I make it all one plane together? Any ideas? And again thanks a lot for the help! Really appreciate!
As long as your geometry is clean, this should work. I’m not sure how the front face of your ring got to be sloped and not vertical.
I’m not sure I understand this…
I’m attaching a fast example - I didn’t use any real dimensions but I hope that it might help.
Note that I used the FilletEdge command to place fillets. Wishbone ring.3dm (625.9 KB)
