Trouble opening Rhino - plug-in popups and not more splash screen

When i open Rhino, two popup boxes override the splash screen, asking about plugins. The first time I opened Rhino after the update, I could not print until I installed a plug in that concerned Rhino Render, I think. Is this a bug in the new update?

Hi Dana - are you clicking Yes each time and it still happens, or?

-Pascal

I click Yes to both popups and it opens. But next time I log into a Rhino file, the popups happen again.

The Splash Screen shows but is immediately overrun by the popups and the splash screen does not return so I never get a chance to choose one of my template. I had to save my templates to the desktop to access them.

Hi Dana -

Have you tried running Rhino as administrator?

You can run the About command at any time to make the splash screen appear. Also, unless you have changed some settings, running New will automatically open the folder where the templates are stored.

I tried running Rhino 7 as administrator and the same thing happened.

I just tried opening Rhino 7 on my remote computer, using GoToMyPc and this problem with the popups etc did not occur.
The computer that I am working on is an older computer.

The older computer is the one that has the popup problem.

Hi Dana - can you run SystemInfo in Rhino on that machine and copy/paste the results here?

Thank you for the tips about About and New!

Hi Dana - I would not expect this to be related to what you describe, but I would certainly update to newer drivers than this, from the NVidia website (don’t ask Windows, it will generally lie about drivers)

Otherwise, I guess I would run a repair on the Rhino installation via the Windows control panel.

Hi Pascal,
Did the Modify but popups are still there!

Hi Dana - can you get a screen shot of Options > Plug-ins page, with one or both of the plug-ins showing in the list?

Hi Dana - check the enabled box on both…

-Pascal

I think I solved the problem. Both plug-ins were unchecked. I checked them and then closed Rhino. When I reopened Rhino there were no popups and the splash screen worked as usual. This also held for file that I have been working on.

Thank you for your help!

I did that and it all works well. I should have checked that sooner.

thank you for your help!
