I am having trouble with the join feature after Using the Pull command to select the box’s Wireframe and newly rotated line-plane pairs to project the wireframe of the box onto each surface. the Pulled wire frame on the plane wont join correctly. its the silhouette of the cube. im supposed to extrude the joined curve into the box and cap it. Is there a way i can get the silhouette to join?
i try to use the close curve command that doesn’t work. then i used gcon command and curves are out of tolerance. i made sure there were no copies of each curve and i also made sure the curves were not already joined.
i managed to trace the cube silhouette into a closed curve using softeditcrv but now when i try to extrude it it makes a strange shape that doesnt represent the silhouette properly. the problem now is when i extrude that pulled joined curve it says " the curves you are attempting to extrude include self intersecting curves. this may produce undesirable results". it indeed does produce some undesirable results. only a portion of the curve is extruding. not even enough to cap.
i tried to explode and disconnect poly lines and reconnect them to the points. still doesnt work
