Trouble baking geometry with toggle

I need to trigger a bake with a toggle, running into some problems:

  1. The geometry I’m trying to bake is 3D Text and meshes from Ladybug. Neither the Elefront nor the Human bake components seem able to bake the 3D Text. They also struggle to bake linework, meshes, and text all at once.
  2. The Heteroptera component “quick baker” bakes everything with no problems, but it can’t be triggered by a toggle unless you manually set the component to “activation lock” first. This must be repeated every time the file is opened.

My question is: does anyone know of an alternative to these components or have you found a way to bake Ladybug geometries with a toggle?

Hi Aaron -

Perhaps the Rhino 8 Content Cache does that?
Also, it’s likely that several users on https://discourse.ladybug.tools/ have run into this before…

hii everyone was there any solution for backing 3d text that comes from ladybug?
just runed into the same issue and rhino Cache component is not working
what does work is right clicking and backing through grasshopper interface…

We need to see the 3dtext object comeimg out of ladybug. If it is simply text, then run it thru a text model object as it needs a style and other info. Then fro.there run it thru context cache. I expect the ladybug component itself is doing something special to add that info on the fly.

I would use one of these:
