TRIM? on a macbook pro

I often have trouble with the trim command, forcing me to other tool combinations, booleen, intersection, split etc and the other sometimes work but not this time. Consequently frustration, anxiety and ruined evenings, other cads have never frustrated me so much as rhino… Often the perspective screen freezes, after a command the screen jumps to wire frame etc… left screen tool pallet, not the one I made, not the one I want…why???

Hi Randy - the left most object has some out of tolerance edges -

Intersect of the plane and the threads is incomplete:

Explode, RebuildEdges - or UntrimBorder - and Join - that cleans up the edges. Then the intersection is complete and Trim, Booleans etc ought to work
