Trim Curve then match its data structure from ref curve

Hi Guys,

Good day to all.
I am running out of juice again. May I ask again for some help? I want to create a railing from the offset curves I made as a floor plate for the next floors. (red curve). I hope to develop this with the same data structure as the basis curve (green curve). I am using curve indexes to offset it so it is needed to create a railing there but there are instances that some of the buildings will not offset some sides and will offset all sides. I am trying this without plugins.

I hope I am clear on what I want I am having a hard time explaining it hahaha. Sorry for my bad English.

Why are you not using Offset Curve?

Because (I suppose) :

Are you looking for these areas ?

I see no evidence of that? Supply a plane to Offset Curve ‘P’ if necessary.

Hi, sorry, this is part of a bigger graph and I already offset curves and that is the red one. In entirety you can select which side you want by human UI. but I just share the graph which is the next step.

Hi magicteddy, you helped me before on my other post. Thank you very much for that. Anyways you are right those areas are the one I need but the outer side/curves only. The plan is I can select which sides to offset(so it will create those areas) then I need to create a lower wall (a railing perhaps) but is it possible to make those sides the same index like on those exploded curve? It will be a very big help for me. Thank you.

Sorry, I don’t get it. Why are you not using Offset Curve?

I already offset it (red markup) and this is part of a bigger graph. I am on the green part now (see image below)

My plan is to select which side to setback thru human UI. so it will be parametric and will update depending which side/s is/are selected

Trim with Brep seems to be the correct tool for this.
