Trim broke history yet I wasnt recording v8

Trim command broke history.
But I wasnt recording , I rareley ever record, to avoid such annoying things.

So why such a simple task, did I get that ?
draw two 0.4 circles, draw two 1inch circles, line tan to circles.
make 4 lines

trim by selecting these lines first

trim to get this shape and get that warning.

I then draw in a lighter blue the 0.4 circles using centre and this time a 2inch circle quad at same quad as the 1inch, I trim as before AND NO HISTORY WARNING !
I then join the lighter blue elements and get a history warning join broke history !! :rage:

Hi Steve -
You attached 2 files. They look to be the same? There is a lot more going on in the images that you show…

Can you download those to your system - saved as some different file name - and try this again? There is no history attached to geometry in the file (run SelObjectsWithHistory) and there is no warning when trimming.
