Tricky open surface

I have a polysurface that I’d like to union into another polysurface but it has an open surface. I’ve searched and found where the opening is with showedges then I’ve tried blendsrf but the object just seems to sprout another open surface when I’m done closing one. I’m not sure how to solve this problem. Does anyone else care to try? Thanks.

You might have a lot of unnecessary edges to describe that shape, I’m not sure if that’s intentional. I projected a curve from the side, redrew it cleaner and closed it, offset it to create the thickness, made a planar surface from them and extruded it to match the height. hope that helps

@Natalie Stevens that does help. I appreciate you sharing your process, thanks.

Hello - If what you want is a ten-sided solid with evenly distributed vertices then I’d use the Polygon command, either twice or once combined with Offset then ExtrudeCurve both together with Solid=Yes

That’s pretty good @Pascal, a great option for creating from a flat drawing or scratch. Thanks
