Hey guys, I’ve been working on a roof/ceiling concept involving disks suspended at every intersection of a triangular grid framing. The shape of the roof is round which adds another complexity to this project. Imagine it as a grand chandelier-like structure with disks at varying heights.
I tried going through the forums and YouTube videos, but I’ve hit a roadblock in achieving this. I’ve included the current Grasshopper file for your reference.
FYI. I did not know how to place points at the intersections of the triangular grid. To resolve this, I just manually moved the points but seeking a better way of doing this. Also, this did not remove points that are placed in the center of the triangle which I need to get rid of.
Ideally, I’m aiming to create a triangular framing with strings /poles extending from it to connect each disk placement. Moreover, the grid system needs to be contained within a circular shape to match the roof’s design.
Attached is a photo of the model to provide better clarity. Thanks for any insights or assistance you can offer!
