Treat Multiple Breps as a single object

Hi All
A fair newbie question.

Say , I have a few breps rectangles and I made them into 3 group. I calculate the total area sizes of each group.

How can I colour each group as one single object depending on the total area size of the group. ( i.e the rectangles in each group are in a uniform colour.
