Translucent Mesh doesn't show everything behind it

Dear all,
I have made a translucent mesh with Kangaroo2, this covers a construction of wooden trusses.
For now I filled these trusses with a surface.

When you view these trusses through the mesh, they are not visible. If you view the construction from underneath (not through the mesh) it is perfectly visible. Some geometry, like the wooden ribs themselves are visible though, so the mesh seems to be selective in what is shown and what isn’t.

Are there certain settings for a mesh to show all geometry behind it when it is made translucent?

Hope my question is clear, thanks in advance!
