Topology change with an edgesurface component

Hi, I have a script that has 4 edges plugged into an EdgeSurface component.
It seems like, which edge goes to left/right/top/bottom in the uv space is flipped occasionally. Is it possible to fix the curve assignment rule?

as far as I know, the way the surface is built is like the way a new plane is built
